Customers purchasing their gas from SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company will see a Cost of Gas line item on their bill, whereas those purchasing gas from an Alternative Gas Supplier (AGS) will see a Supplier Energy Charge line item. The most accurate comparison between the SEMCO gas rate and an AGS gas rate can be made between the Cost of Gas and Supplier Energy Charge. Simply compare the Cost of Gas on your SEMCO bill with the Supplier Energy Charge of an AGS to determine the best choice for you. All other charges remain the same regardless of whether SEMCO or an AGS supplies the natural gas.
By law, SEMCO ENERGY has no profit or markup in its Energy Charges.
