Our Budget Billing program takes your energy costs and spreads them out over a 12-month period. This is a great way to help balance your household budget. Enrollment is FREE and open to eligible residential customers during May, June and July of each year. To be eligible, your account must be up to date and have a satisfactory credit history.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- Your Budget payment is calculated based on the previous 12 months of consumption and adjusted for extreme weather variances and projected changes in natural gas prices.
- Your monthly bill will show your Budget payment amount along with the actual usage and cost of natural gas used that month. Any additional charges billed to your account, such as the Sharp Service Plan, must be paid in addition to your Budget payment.
- Your energy use is monitored throughout the year and adjusted, if necessary, to make sure you don't face any future unexpected high energy bills.
- You will remain active in the program until you request to be removed or if you miss a payment. Once removed from the program, the full outstanding balance will become due. To re-enroll, you must meet all the
enrollment criteria.
Settlement Month: In the 12th month of the Budget Billing program we compare your actual gas usage with the amount you paid throughout the program year. If you paid for more gas than was used, the overpayment will appear on your bill as a credit. Any credit balance will be applied to future payments or refunded at your request. If you paid for less gas than was used, the bill will show a balance due. This amount plus your current
