For instance, while Customer Service Representatives are available to answer your questions about your bill and to schedule service appointments, our interactive telephone system offers callers convenient alternative methods to handle routine business transactions, including paying your bill from your touch tone phone. Some services include a fee, which is announced prior to the customer using the service.

Our my Access On-Line electronic bill payment service not only allows you to pay your bill from your computer but provides other options for managing your SEMCO ENERGY account. This service is free for e-Bill customers paying by electronic check.

The free Direct Payment Plan allows you to have your payment deducted from your designated bank account each month on the day your payment is due. No checks. No stamps. No late payments.

The Budget Billing Program allows you to pay your bill in equal monthly payments, with an annual reconciliation in the twelfth month. Your account
is reviewed periodically and, if necessary, adjusted to avoid large over or under payments. Enrollment is free and open to eligible customers during May, June and July of each year

If you prefer to pay your bill in person, SEMCO ENERGY offers a network of merchants who will accept your gas bill payment. Participating authorized businesses post a sign reading: "Pay your SEMCO ENERGY bill here." A convenience fee may be charged by the merchant. Please be sure to use only authorized agents to pay your SEMCO ENERGY bill. Also please note that it can take up to two (2) business days for your payment to be credited to your account.

Beginning in 2009, eligible Michigan taxpayers may receive a tax credit for making approved energy efficiency improvements to their homes and non-commercial property.

Taxpayers may claim 10 percent of the installed cost of each improvement, up to $75 for single filers and $150 for joint filers. Eligible improvements include insulation, water heaters, furnaces, windows, refrigerators, washers and dryers that meet or exceed Energy Star energy efficiency criteria. Purchases must be made between Jan. 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, 2011.
