ENERGY GAS COMPANY is currently
seeking a Corrosion Technician II. The Supervisor for Regional
Operations, under general supervision, plans and directs the work
activities of field personnel on the installation, operation,
and maintenance of gas main and gas service lines.
Essential
Job Functions:
1.
Oversees the day-to-day installation and maintenance of gas mains
and services, periodic leakage surveys, storeroom activities,
and building maintenance.
2. Directs the fulfillment of project assignments, within budget,
with quality, and on schedule.
3.
Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures consistent
with Company goals and objectives. Formulates departmental goals
and objectives.
4.
Ensures company internal control procedures and processes are
followed. Periodically reviews internal controls and processes
for improvement.
5.
Trains, monitors, coaches, develops, and evaluates unit employees.
Manages the operation department’s applicable work processes.
6. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and
establishing personal networks.
7.
Prepares regular and special reports for regional operations.
8.
Will act as liaison with field contractors involving construction
projects including pre-construction meetings and planning.
9.
Manage interaction with construction contractor to ensure efficiency,
probity, and financial parameters are followed.
Minimum
Qualifications:
•
Knowledge of business practices and analysis at a level normally
acquired through the completion of a Bachelor Degree in Business
Administration, Engineering or some other closely related field.
• Minimum of seven to ten years of related work experience.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of gas main, service line and regulator
station installation, maintenance, and operation.
• Proven organizational and analytical skills, including
the ability to evaluate data, compile statistics and prepare reports,
graphs, tables and charts.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
in order to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships
and situations.
• Good working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and
various personal computer business software applications presently
used by the Company. Ability to learn new applications.
